You can't just bring any old girl to a family gathering. And I've never brought anybody on purpose. Because if you bring a chick to a barbecue, then the family will tend to get attached to the chick. As well, the chick can get attached to the family. And we can't be having a chick believing that she is much more important to you than she really is. Harsh but true. It's like having that combination lock in high school and not knowing the combination. However when you figure that bad boy out -- like when you discovered the pattern for Donkey Kong or Pac Man -- you want to play the game as often as possible. And that's exactly what I did. When you finally get up the courage to ask that fine chick out and she actually says "yes" ... You take her out for dinner and hint around about going to a movie after. During the movie you take that chance and put your arm around her. If she doesn't resist, chances are she'll snuggle up against you. So you wait a couple of heartbeats and then kiss her on the forehead. A few heartbeats later you gently bring her face to yours and kiss her on the lips. After that you leave her alone. When it's time to leave, you say how you've had such a nice time with her that you're sorry to have to let her go. "I don't suppose you wanna hang out and watch some another movie." Yeah, you just came from a movie, but that's besides the point. Chances are that she lives with her parents and isn't in much of a hurry to get back to the same four walls that she's been staring at since she was a little girl. Plus she's impressed that you have your own place and is kind of curious about seeing it. As well, it is very possible that she's already decided that she is going to give you "some". And then there was Kima Harris ... Kima wasn't going to give me any sex before marriage. And in usual circumstances, I'd just stop calling. But Kima was so freaking pretty -- in a girl next door sort of way -- and had conversation abilities that were tremendously engaging. She was too much of what I wanted in a woman. I couldn't resist falling in love with her. And once that happened, I knew that I couldn't live without her.

Marrying Antonio Roberts ... Who'd of thunk it? In fact, many people looked at me like I was some kind of rare artifact when he brought me around. I'm talking about his friends and family. Who was this girl that Antonio was bringing to the family barbecue? From what I gathered, he'd never brought anyone around his very large family that stretched from Arkansas, to Chicago, to Wisconsin, back to South Carolina ... Not that all of them were at this get together, but there were way more people there than I was expecting to see. You have to understand ... Antonio was a hit and run artist. He was the epitome of the love 'em and leave him lothario. He seduced women and left them crying and broken hearted. But somehow I'd gotten past his defenses. And with that miracle, I was immediately placed on a pedestal and looked at with eyes filled with awe. Who was this girl who is taming Cousin Antonio? She must be really special.
